Isa asked for another sewing lesson/project recently. She wanted to make a pouch for her "special" crayons and pencils at school. I'm liking how she also wanted to design this project!
Our first step was to go shopping for fabric. Well, actually, the shopping means just opening Grandma's stash drawer (oops, I suppose I should say, "one of Grandma's stash drawers" :) ).
That part was easy. She makes quick decisions. Next, we measured and cut the fabric, pinned the 2 pieces together, and began stitching. I really like one of the features on my machine that allows me to limit the rate of stitching even though she's using the foot pedal.
She did a great job and was very pleased with her finished product! I see many more projects coming in the future!
Hmm, maybe I should stock up those stash drawers!! (spoken like a true fabricaholic!)
