Listening

I've been reminded frequently lately about listening. John 10:27 says, "My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me." There's no extra added qualifying phrase of "if you want to", or "if it suits your timing", or "if it's not too uncomfortable". Sometimes we are called by our Lord to make difficult choices--uncomfortable and even painful ones, ones that require sacrifice. But we can't say we believe that God knows what is best for us and profess that our faith is pure if we hear His voice and don't obey. And it means we obey now, we let go of our ways, because we know that His ways are perfect, and He will bless us in ways we haven't even imagined. So, bless us Lord, we are listening!

The BIG MOVE is happening. The Yerkes family is on their way to La Porte City, Iowa. Tonight they are in York, Nebraska, and tomorrow they will arrive at their new home! Whewww! What a jam-packed last few weeks we have had! The good-byes were difficult, but the blessings will follow.

Now THIS is one good-looking, blessed family!!
