Ice Wars

One day last week when Cade, Sydney, and I picked up Isa from school we all arrived home feeling like summer had begun and we were still dressed for winter. Isa was convinced that she and Cade needed to put on their swimsuits and turn on the sprinklers. Not knowing what Jill might have planned for them when she got home, I decided to dissuade them from the sprinklers with ICE. At first they just used their creative minds to walk around the yard with a small tub of ice cubes "ice painting". Then we sat down and began our Ice Wars game. It consisted of simply holding a cube in the mouth and counting to see who could hold it the longest.  The winner....Isa! Cade won only a few times when the ice slipped out of Isa's mouth, but it didn't seem to matter to him. It mattered more when he dropped his own ice and would want to pick it up and put it back into his dish or in his mouth, grass and all.
Anyway, I recommend Ice Wars as a great way to occupy the munchkins on the next warm day!

So, why do the kids look so much cuter with ice in their mouths???
