Once a Teacher...

While reading the newspaper today I noticed pictures of children wearing Dr. Suess red and white striped hats , and it started me thinking about my days as a teacher and whether I miss them. In particular, I recall many such years on March 2, (Dr. Seuss's birthday) when my Second Grade Teacher buddy, Andrea Gifford, and I would don our own striped hats and read Green Eggs and Ham together. Several times we even served green eggs when we were finished reading. It was great fun and enjoyed by both the children and the teachers! But after enjoying this memory, I've concluded that I am having just as much fun, if not more, being a teacher of my grandchildren. Here are some picures of a few of our great projects this past year.
